As a family we are so fortunate to have a trove of letters, preserved by generation after generation in an old black tin box.
We are also lucky to have had Page Life, from Chapel Hill, NC, who transcribed many of these letters as part of her research into Major General Sir James Wilson.
I’ll attempt to organize and share some of these transcriptions, as well as those scans of the originals that I have.
Starting here, with the earliest.
1792 Nov 14th: Sarah Horn to James Horn
1804 Feb 12th: Capt. James Wilson to James Horn
1804 March 13th: Margaret & James Wilson to James Horn
1804 March 29th: James Horn to Margaret & James Wilson
1804 June 5th: Thomas Horn to Sarah Horn
1808 January 20th: Thomas Horn to Sister Mary Busher
1808 November 11: James Wilson to James Horn
181 June 21st: James Wilson to Margaret (re-produced by W. Wilson Horn)
1814 September 12th: Margaret Wilson to cousin Thomas
1815 September 4th: James Wilson to Thomas Horn
1820 January 27th: Margaret WIlson to Thomas Horn
Hi Rob, I have just found an old email in a bag about the Horns. I want to send it to you, but it’s faded a bit and a photo is useless. For some reason I can’t find your email. Will keep searching
Love Rob
Hi Rob – I use ar_curran@icloud.com – is this what you sent via FB earlier? Thanks!
